PALS Reading and Writing program is an enrichment program that supplements learning in school. This program takes students to higher level so they can better understand and answer critical passages.

  • In early grades, PALS Reading & Writing helps students learn to read and write words and simple sentences.
  • Starting Grade 2, PALS English provides two 2-3 pages challenging reading texts.
  • We also start the comprehension from Grade 2 with 2-pages of passage with questions composed of multiple choice.

Understanding the Standards

For older students in grades 9-12, the standards expand to cover Literature, Informational Text, Text Types and Purposes, Production and Distribution of Writing, Research to Build and Present Knowledge, Speaking and Listening, Language, Literacy in History/Social Studies, and Literacy in Science and Technical Subjects.
