High School Reading and Writing enrichment program features challenging texts with integrated writing exercises. It also features the grade level language skills, grammar and vocabulary. Includes varying genres like fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, speech, and others. Aligned with NCTM and NJ Common Core curriculum (CCCS).
High School Students explore the structures of and interpret functions and other mathematical models. Students build upon previous knowledge of equations and inequalities to reason, solve, and represent equations and inequalities numerically and graphically. Students will work with graphing calculators throughout this Algebra 2 course. Aligned with NCTM and NJ Common Core curriculum (CCCS).
Explore the properties of two and three-dimensional figures with our Geometry course. Enhance your knowledge using Algebra 1, inductive and deductive reasoning, constructions, coordinates, and measurement. This curriculum aligns with the New Jersey Common Core curriculum (CCCS) and follows the guidelines of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). Pre-calculus is designed to prepare students for future calculus courses bridging the gap between Algebra 2 and Calculus. This course covers advanced mathematical concepts, functions and theories that may not have been covered earlier in Algebra 1, Geometry or Algebra 2. Aligned with NCTM and New Jersey Common Core curriculum (CCCS).
Calculus students tend to take College Board’s AP exam Calculus AB or Calculus BC to avail college credit. Students are taught that ideas can be investigated analytically, numerically and graphically. They are expected to relate the various representations to each other. Students understand that graphs and tables are not sufficient to prove an idea. Aligned with NCTM and New Jersey Common Core curriculum (CCCS).
